Life + Style Edit | With Aly From Ellis & Jones Clinic

Hi Aly, thank you so much for welcoming us into your beautiful space! Could you please let us know a little bit about you and what you do for work?
“Hi guys - of course! I am an Advanced Cosmetic Injector with my own private practice here in Hamilton, called Ellis & Jones Clinic. We are a close team of three providing a range of rejuvenation treatments from Injectable based procedures to specialised skin therapy.

Our clinic provides a private and safe environment for our clients, catering to a wide range of age groups. Whether you are after a revitalising facial or filler, we truly have something for everyone! I love every aspect of my job - meeting all my beautiful clients, regulars or new, and providing the most advanced treatments that show the best results!”

What is your favourite aspect about what you do, is there anything new and exciting coming?
“It sounds cliche, but providing women of all ages with more day to day confidence is the best part of what I do. Majority of women do not want others to know they have had any cosmetic treatments, being able to restore their confidence through rejuvenation treatments while remaining undetectable is something I pride myself on.

Offering the latest technology is a priority to me, this is a forever changing industry that continues to improve. I am very excited to announce that we have BBL (Broadband light) / Moxi coming to the Waikato, exclusively to Ellis & Jones Clinic! What that is - BBL/Moxi is the latest laser technology from Sciton that can treat a range of skin concerns, but is mostly known for its rapid results with pigment and melasma. It is safe to use on any skin type (yes darker skin too) at any time of the year and has minimal downtime. Can't wait for this to arrive in time for the cooler months.”

And congratulations on the bump… how exciting! In the ever-changing landscape of fashion, especially now with a baby bump, how would you describe your style?
"I've always gravitated towards a baggy, oversized fit - typically opting for a matching set or baggy jeans paired with an oversized blazer. Tight-fitted clothing never quite appealed to me, but with my baby bump, I've found joy in flaunting it. The Day Judy dress is a perfect example of the more fitted style I'm currently embracing, still maintaining a sense of flow and structure. Drawing inspiration from fashion influencers whose styles I've long admired, like @Marinafilatovaaa and @Laurajadestone."

We absolutely love seeing you in TRUE adding timeless pieces to your capsule wardrobe. What is on your wishlist currently?
“TRUE have been such gems when I have really needed them for a last minute conference or business photoshoot fits! I have a wardrobe full of beautiful pieces that have been picked out and styled for me by the TRUE Stylists. I currently have my eye on some of the chunky or oversized knits for going into winter.

I have a couple of knits from SAMSØE SAMSØE in my wardrobe, but I would like to add a few pieces by designers such as Laing, Day and Aleger. Continuing the oversized trend throughout winter while pregnant will ensure I can reuse these pieces after the baby comes, as it is my usual style and I want to be as sustainable as possible when choosing my maternity wear!”

Lastly, we want to know your holy-grail skincare products…
“Right now, my holy grail would be the Enbioment range from DMK! I suffer from isolated dermatitis that usually pops up around my eyes/eyelids. The Enbioment range is a set of 3 products and helps to reset the skins microbiome/barrier and is gentle and soothing. They have been my miracle products alongside DMKs Beta gel, a simple 4 step skin care regime and my dermatitis has not returned since.”
