Senior Stylist + Assistant Buyer
True Store is looking for an exceptional senior retail professional to join the business in a rare leadership role combining high-level sales, styling, buying support and retail operations.
This is not a standard retail management position.
We are looking for someone commercially sharp, fashion literate, highly motivated and deeply passionate about premium fashion, client experience and modern retail.
You will work closely alongside Andrea Downey, founder of True Store, supporting the continued growth of the retail experience, collections and client relationships within the business.
The Role
This role combines:
- Senior in-store sales + styling
- Buying support and range planning
- NZ buying portfolio management
- Supplier and showroom coordination
- Client relationship management
- Sales leadership
- Team support and standards
- Visual merchandising input
- Commercial reporting and performance awareness
The right person will thrive both on the shop floor and behind the scenes — balancing elevated customer experience with strong commercial awareness and operational organisation.
What We're Looking For
We are searching for someone who:
- Has senior fashion retail experience
- Understands premium and luxury fashion brands
- Has strong personal presentation and styling ability
- Loves selling and building genuine client relationships
- Has strong clienteling and customer service skills
- Is commercially aware and sales-driven
- Can contribute to buying decisions and collection planning
- Has strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Is proactive, driven and solutions-focused
- Brings positive energy and professionalism to a team
- Understands modern retail and customer behaviour
- Can contribute positively to the continued growth of the business
Experience in buying, footwear, accessories, apparel or premium multi-brand retail would be highly regarded.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to:

- Attend showings and industry appointments
- Build meaningful relationships with premium international and New Zealand brands

Senior Sales Stylists
Part Time & Full Time | True Store
We are looking for engaging and naturally driven stylists to join the team at True Store.
We're seeking someone with a genuine love of fashion, an instinct for personal style and the ability to build authentic relationships with our clientele.
The ideal person is warm, confident, commercially minded and thrives in a high-standard environment where service, presentation and attention to detail matter.
You would be joining a close-knit team connected by a love of fashion, beautiful product, thoughtful service and creating an elevated in-store experience.
Previous experience preferred.
